From the moment of my inquiry, Kaylani Judkins reached out to discuss our family’s history, home life, experience with dogs, and expectations. Her constant communication during the pregnancy kept us excited and on the seat of our chairs! My children looked forward to our weekly updates as we watched Scout’s belly grow, and Sedona nurturing her in a loving manner.
The pregnancy was such a learning opportunity for our family and even until the moment of the x-ray confirmation and birthing we felt like we were part of a master class in breeding.We are long time pet owners and decided to bring a new puppy into the fold as our current dogs are now 6 years old have grown up with my children. We raise our puppies to be loving family members and it was so refreshing that NK Ranch shares our same vision. My children participate in every step of raising our puppies and this time around it will be no different. Potty training, feeding, attending obedience school, socialization with our dogs, and those of our friends and family, are just a few examples. We even look forward to starting new hobbies such as agility, hiking, and dock diving!
Although it will be some time before we are ready for another puppy, we have no doubt that we will return to NK Ranch for future family members! I can’t say enough about how wonderful this entire adventure has been from pregnancy to birth to the homecoming of our beautiful girl. We decided to name her after her breeders at NK Ranch…NK Ranch’s Shooting Star Anise Kaylani…we call her Kaylani!

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience working with NK Ranch Australian Shepherds and Kaylani! Finding the right breeder was incredibly important to me. I spent months going through rescues and searching for good breeders, and there were many who made me nervous. The second I spoke with Kaylani and met my sweet pup via video chat, I put a deposit down. (Even forgoing a deposit I had put down elsewhere prior to finding NK Ranch!) Traveling from Minnesota to Utah was a no brainer for me, because I trusted them. The entire family treats the pups as if they are their own – playing with them, giving them plenty of cuddles, you name it. They even offered to help with crate training after I mentioned that this was an approach I wanted to start with during the night while we work on potty training. Anytime I had a question (or just wanted to text how excited I was!) Kaylani responded within minutes. When it came time to bring Marvel home with me, I met Kaylani at their home and got to see first-hand how loved these dogs were. Kaylani thought of the cutest touches, sending my little Marvel off with a gift bag of goodies that included a little toy with the scent of his litter mates to help with any initial separation anxiety. They also sent me home with all of the needed paperwork, including vet notes and medical history, shot dates, information on his lineage and more. Kaylani is kind and personable. Had I not had a flight to catch, I would've stayed longer to chat with her and snuggle with all of Marvel's siblings!
As far as the pups themselves, they are stunning, smart and the most loyal little followers. I've only had my guy two weeks and he snuggles up to me like we've been pals since day one! He came to me healthy, happy and so well taken care of. He's a looker who gets a ton of attention everywhere he goes. He catches on quickly to training and will make the most incredible companion for years to come! Thank you, thank you, NK Ranch!

We contacted NKRanch Australian Shepherds, after losing our 10 1/2 year old aussie unexpectedly due to cancer. We saw on their website that they had just had a litter of puppies. I contacted Kaylani through the website and explained that we would be interested in a black tri female if she was available. (Kaylani quickly responded that she did not know which puppies would be available as people who were on the reservation list had first pick when the puppies were 4 weeks old. ) When the puppies were 4 weeks old Molly (what we named her) was still available!! We quickly said yes we would love to have her. She answered any questions I had about what type of food they were feeding the puppies and scheduling a pick up time! We felt so lucky that we were able to get the puppy we wanted!! Kaylani shared many photos and videos of Molly and the other puppies on social media and directly through texting. Working with NkRanch Australian Shepherds was a wonderful experience, communication was excellent and meeting the family was nice too!

I loved my experience with NK Ranch. Both Nate and Kaylani were very professional and knowledgeable about Australian Shepherds. Kaylani offered great advice on activities and places to take the puppies if they are getting bored. I have been able to ask her any questions about my puppy, and would quickly get a response. NK Ranch ensured I was able to set up a time to come meet the puppy prior to purchasing. I would get picture updates of the puppy until I was able to pick her up. When my puppy came home, she had already understood basic commands such as “sit” and immediately warmed up to my 5 year old. I would highly recommend NK Ranch to anyone looking to purchase a high quality Standard Australian Shepherd.

Wow what an incredible journey! This entire experience has been so much fun to share with Nathan and Kaylani. They were super inclusive with us right from day one, and made us feel like an important part of it all. We were given frequent updates before the pregnancy, during, and after the birth. Each day we got to see lots of beautiful photos of the litter, hear about what the pups were up to, and what milestones they were reaching. We also got to learn so much about each puppy’s unique personality. By the time we got to pick out our own, we felt like we had already known them all for a long time. Throughout everything, it was such a relief that Nathan and Kaylani were always enthusiastic to answer our endless amounts of questions (and super promptly!). I also have to add that they went above and beyond to accommodate us. We live in Canada, and they set up the flight, picked out a proper crate, and took care of all of the details. All we had to do was show up to the airport! The most exciting part- bringing home, was a much easier transition than we thought it would be. The puppies had all been socialized so well in the eight weeks before we got them. They spent a lot of time both outdoors and indoors, playing with each other, and being with other people (including children). It was hugely noticeable, and made the first days enjoyable and painless. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. You will always be a special part of our lives, and we couldn’t have done this with anyone better. I truly believe that NK Ranch is the best choice for someone looking for an Australian Shepherd. The owners are filled with so much passion for what they do. They truly have hearts of gold, and we couldn’t have picked better people to begin this new chapter of our lives with.

Now that we are somewhat settled into the routine with our new puppy in our lives, I feel I need to write this review. We had the pleasure of going thru NKRanch breeders. After much research, thanks to my daughter,we chose NKRanch. It truly was the best option for us. The experience was top notch. We got to see the dogs right from moms pregnancy to the birth of her pups. When the pups were born we were provided with videos and photos everyday. We got to see the progress each week of our puppy and the personal touch of her family involvement was fantastic. Their expertise and knowledge were amazing. The breeder was quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. We were able to fall in love with our new puppy from the time we chose him until the day we got him thru her constant updates and photos. It was a very warm, personal experience. The love they have for their dogs is quite evident. The personal touches were outstanding. Also would like to mention that we live in Canada. The whole process was arranged by NKRanch and it went very smoothly. Our pup and my daughters pup were flown from Utah to Minneapolis. We then picked them up at the airport and made a 6 hour drive to Canada. They did amazingly! I could not have asked for a better experience with NK Ranch! From the first conversation with Kaylani, I knew this was where I wanted to get my first puppy. NK Ranch always kept me in the loop with pictures and videos from pregnancy all the way up until I picked up my puppy! As a first time puppy mom, I had a lot of questions and Kaylani was always responsive and so informative.
